Who could say no!?

After another one of those loooong days, I finally settled into my easy chair to enjoy the fire and my email on my new laptop (gotta love that convenience). Brucie was having his usual burst of energy that he gets just before crashing for the night, playing hide and go seek with Dad, running back and forth in front of me.

He suddenly swooped over to my chair and said, "mummi, let's go hide!" Now this is a game we play quite a bit these days...so tired as I was I tried to think of how to stay in my chair without saying no.

"Mummi, let's go hide" he said again.

"Who could say no to that?" I asked.

"I couldn't do it" Brucie replied.....

Yep, you guessed it, I spent the next ten minutes running, crawling on the floor and hiding. Good therapy for one Mummi who is "tired" ....and can't say no!

It's lovely to be loved

We were settled into the diningroom table having our Saturday night Pizza Night. When Spring, Rich and kids are visiting, we barely fit around these days but we tuck the kids behind the table and I skootched in on the end to the left of Phoebe.

As we all ate and chatted, Phoebe started confiding in me by cupping her LEFT hand on the left of her face and talking.....which meant she was pointng away from me! "mummi, how long are these guys gonna be living with you anyway." I replied, "Oh, probably a few more months. Why?" Still with her hand by her mouth, cupped to the side....away from me...."I wish they'd move out so I could stay over night again with you Mummi."

Awwwwwww.
